Dialysis Access & Assessment

A fistula made from your own vein is generally preferred where your anatomy allows it. A synthetic graft is used when suitable veins are not available. Fistula angioplasty is a maintenance procedure to reopen a narrowed access so dialysis can continue.
* Claimable via MediSave, MediShield Life and Integrated Shield Plans when the procedure is medically indicated and carries a valid TOSP code. Purely cosmetic treatments (for example, cosmetic spider-vein removal) are not claimable. The MediSave withdrawal limit is set by MOH for each procedure.
Paying for your treatment
MediSave, MediShield Life & insurance
MediSave
Most of our vein, arterial, wound and dialysis-access procedures are MediSave-claimable when medically indicated. MediSave can offset a meaningful part of the bill, up to the withdrawal limit MOH sets for that procedure.
MediShield Life & Integrated Shield Plans
If you hold a MediShield Life or Integrated Shield Plan, medically indicated day-surgery and inpatient procedures may be claimable. Coverage and out-of-pocket amounts depend on your specific plan and riders.
International & Corporate Insurance
We also work with international and corporate insurers including Bupa, Cigna, Allianz and AON. Coverage terms, pre-authorisation requirements and direct-billing arrangements vary by policy, so please check with your insurer or speak to our clinic before your visit.
Cosmetic Treatments
Treatments carried out purely for appearance, such as cosmetic spider-vein removal, are generally not claimable under MediSave or insurance. We will always tell you upfront which category your treatment falls under.
We are happy to help with the paperwork for insurance and financing, and to prepare a Letter of Guarantee where
your insurer requires one. Please check your exact coverage and any co-payment with your insurer.
